A cross-platform healthcare app for a South African client, built by a team against the client’s own medical API.

01 · the problem

Healthcare software carries constraints most consumer apps never meet. Patient information is regulated rather than merely sensitive. Clinical detail has to be exactly right rather than approximately right. And the person using it is frequently having a bad day, which rules out an interface that expects patience. This one was delivered for a South African client, working against their own healthcare API rather than a system Protorix controlled.

02 · what i built

Built as a cross-platform mobile app by a team of developers, integrating against the client’s existing healthcare API. Working to somebody else’s API in a regulated domain shifts where the engineering effort goes: the shape of the data is fixed, so the work is in handling it correctly, failing safely and keeping the interface honest about what it knows.

Why is there no screenshot?

It was delivered for a private client, was never on a public store, and does not appear on the Protorix success stories page, so there is no published imagery to draw on. Where that is true, the page says so rather than staging something.
