01 · the problem
Folklore is oral by nature. Urban legends work because someone tells them to you, so text on a screen strips out the delivery that makes them land. Recording professional narration for a growing library of world folklore is not viable for a solo project.
02 · what i built
The ElevenLabs voice API supplies the narration, which makes an audio-first reading mode economically possible at library scale: a full-screen listening experience for legends from Bloody Mary to the Vanishing Hitchhiker, alongside the written versions and image galleries. Supabase backs the content library and user data, with offline downloads for listening without a connection.
